J. Allyn Taylor International Prize in Medicine
Topic: Spinal Cord Injury
The 2012 Taylor Prize will be granted to a scientist who has made outstanding contributions in the chosen area. The recipient of the prize will receive $10,000 and a classical medallion bearing the likeness of J. Allyn Taylor. The award has been presented to many outstanding scientists over the years including individuals such as: Judah Folkman, Eric Lander, Ralph Weissleder, Tony Hunter, Joseph Schlessinger, Ron Kahn, Roger Tsien, and others.
Nominations for an outstanding scientist in the chosen field should be sent to Dr. Arthur Brown (address below).
Please include a short summary of the nominee's contributions, along with a current curriculum vitae.
The closing date for nominations will be May 1, 2012.
Generously supported by the C.H. Stiller Memorial Foundation, the Taylor prize acknowledges the significant role J. Allyn Taylor - founding Chair of the Board at Robarts - played in the lives of Stiller family members as well as his personal and professional commitment to integrity, dedication and distinction. It is to Rev. Carl Hilmer Stiller (1910-1971) and the remarkable personal legacy and outstanding achievements which Mr. Taylor represents, that the Stiller family wishes to pay tribute.
